Class Descriptions

Hatha is a good place to start for new practitioners – or to stay – if this style resonates with you. Hatha is a slower practice with a focus on alignment and form. You’ll be introduced to basic foundational yoga asanas (postures), yogic breath and meditation technique. Strength, flexibility and body awareness are just some of the fruits that this yoga practice bears.

Anam Yoga

Anam Yoga is a fluid style of yoga that allows you to melt into your muscles through subtle movements that help release those niggling knots of tension. Blending the breath with a natural sense of ebb and flow within a posture, Anam stretching techniques inspire our prana to invigorate and rejuvinate body, mind and spirit.

Shakti Yoga

Shakti is the consort of Shiva in the Tantric yoga tradition...the philosophical basis of Anusara Yoga. Shakti is the animating aspect of life and therefore possesses great power to living. This class will provide basic alignment and principles of Anusara Yoga while oepning to grace. Beginners welcome.

Hatha I

More advanced postures, breath work, and inspired infusion of yogic concepts and philosophy to help students expand their practice “off the mat,” and into the rest of their life.

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga classes are open to all levels. This is a dynamic, powerful and effective form of yoga that produces quick results. Benefits include relief from stress and insomnia, enhanced creativity, lymphatic cleansing, liver detoxification, balancing the heart and mind, and developing will-power. Kundalini Yoga stimulates the nervous system, glandular system, respiratory system and the immune system as it balances the mind and opens the spirit. These results are achieved through a kriya (specific yoga posture set) and meditation. Each class includes mantra, warm ups, a kriya, deep relaxation and meditation.
