Teacher Training

Dawn Lamothe BA, MA ERYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher)
Dawn is the owner, founder and creator of both Lion’s Breath Yoga Centres and the Kshatriya Teacher Training Program. Her combined formal education and experience as both a yoga teacher and yoga business owner create a base of knowledge of both the world of yoga and the foundational philosophies of the practice. Her approach is grounded in the experience of running a yoga business for 7 years and teaching for 5 years with over 3000 hours in many diverse areas, from a private setting of teaching one on one; teaching in schools; offering yoga to outlying areas in Alberta; presenting to various corporations as well as being open to all types and interpretations of yoga.
Teacher bios sometimes end up being a long list of ‘name dropping’ in order to validate and authenticate a person’s value as a teacher. The value of a teacher however is his/her ability to take in the teachings of others and apply them in her own authentic and creative voice. I will challenge you to find your voice so you will stand on your own as a teacher, no ‘name dropping’ required. You are the secret ingredient.

Lance Zein
Lance has been teaching the anatomy portion of the Kshatriya Teacher Training program for the last two years.
He graduated from the University of Alberta in 1986 with a combined Physiotherapy and Kinesiology Degree. Over the past 25 years of teaching in the fitness sector with 10 years as a yoga instructor and 18 years of massage and physiotherapy experience.
His approach is based on the miracle of life and breath as the catalyst for the functioning and structure of the human form. Rather than teaching from the facts and data, he prefers to move from practicality and purpose. In this way, students are encouraged to feel the systems of the body synergistically through direct experience coupled with fats and figures.
Yoga is life.
